Fit/Fox Update...

Newport Beach, CA - Fox has devised a BMX tour concept that promises mayhem and madness in the streets while giving local riders the chance to ride with their favorite pros. The approach: pile ten of the world's leading BMX riders into the Fox tour bus for two weeks, bombarding spot after spot throughout the Northeast, promoting the riders, and the BMX lifestyle. BMX fans and locals are invited to each location to witness their favorite riders in action and get a chance to session with Fox BMX team riders Scotty Cranmer, Mike Aitken, Corey Bohan and Chase Hawk to name a few.

Saturday, June 9 Long Island Bicycles318 East Main St. Patchoque, NY3-7pm

Come be a part of the tour as it infiltrates bike shops like Van Homan's Two By Four, skateparks such as Scotty Cranmer's stomping grounds, The Incline Club, and even New York's historic street spot, the Brooklyn Banks. With the versatile terrain at each stop, the riders are sure to feed off each other as well as the local riders to produce amazing sessions. In addition to putting on a demo at each scheduled stop of the tour, the riders will ride with the locals, sign autographs, and meet the fans.
If you are anywhere near these locations in the first weeks of June, mark your calendars now and make plans to attend the BMX extravaganza known as the Fox Pedal to the Metal Tour. You don't want to pass up this opportunity to see BMX at its best, meet and ride with some of your favorite riders and score some free Fox gear.
Fox has hand-selected a team of ten of the most talented, stylish, and influential riders out there. Here is a run-down of who you can expect to ride with at each stop on the tour:

• Scotty Cranmer: The 2006 X Games Park Gold Medalist can literally do anything he wants on a bike—anything. The New Jersey native's level of riding is so far ahead of everyone else; “..I don't see anyone catching up to him in the next five years…” according to Fat Tony at Ride BMX.

• Mike Aitken: Kids from SoCal to the Big Apple copy his style from the way he runs his bike to his tricks.

• Corey Bohan: The three-time X Games Dirt Gold Medalist, three-time NORA Cup Dirt winner, and winner of just about every other major dirt contest around the world hails from Australia and has been at the top of the dirt circuit for several years, showing no signs of slowing down.

• Chase Hawk: Chase has an uncanny ability to show up at any spot and ride it like he has been there a million times. His natural ability and smooth, flowing style are what every rider dreams of.

• Ruben Alcantara: Easily one of the best European riders ever, his eyes and brain work much differently than most riders, giving him the power to find creative lines that most would never see.

• Joe Rich: A true BMX legend, Joe has been on top of the BMX world for more than ten years and continues to be a role model for riders of every generation.

• Brian Foster: The former AA Pro BMX racer has masterfully and stylishly adapted his skills to every type of terrain that has ever been thrown in front of him.

• TJ Lavin: Las Vegas' local, when not hosting shows for MTV, can be found pushing the limits of dirt jumping in his own backyard.

• Allan Cooke: No stranger to large-scale BMX tours and crazy, daredevil BMX stunts.

• Heath Pinter: Heath builds, runs and dominates one of the biggest and most famous sets of trails in the Southern California dirt-jumping scene. Pedal to the Metal is going on the road with Zune, Fender, and Ride BMX, with a few other surprises to be announced as we roll along.
